Say Less — Privacy Policy

Say Less is a translation and voice app. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: we don't require an account, we don't run ads, and we don't sell your data.
What we process
- Text you enter or speak is sent to our translation providers to produce your translation, then discarded. We do not keep it on our servers.
- Audio from the microphone is captured only when you tap the mic button. It is sent to a speech-to-text service to turn your speech into words, and is not stored by us afterward.
- Your translation history and favorites are saved only on your own device (in your browser/app storage). We cannot see them, and clearing the app removes them.
Third-party services we use
To provide translations and voices, your submitted text or audio is processed by:
- Groq — translation and speech-to-text
- ElevenLabs — spoken (text-to-speech) audio
- Cloudflare — hosting and request routing
These providers process the content only to return your result. We send them the minimum needed to do the job.
What we don't do
- No accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No advertising and no ad trackers.
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone for marketing.
- No storing your translations or recordings on our servers.
Children
Say Less includes a "Kid Mode" that keeps output clean and age-appropriate. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
